Meg Roy

As the youngest of four children, I was born into a very musical family. By the age of 3, I was belting out incorrect lyrics in our stationwagon and "Vogue"-ing in my living room.  Growing up in Pennsylvania, my siblings and I often made up songs together (and we still have the cassette tapes to prove it!).

I have been in various choirs throughout my life. My most memorable musical experiences include singing with the high school Madrigals in Switzerland and competing with my a cappella group in college.  My move to Austin in 2008 only felt complete when I joined River City Pops, a show choir that I am proud to be a member of.

I earned a B.S. in Psychology and a Master's in Elementary Education while at the University of Pittsburgh. I have been a full-time nanny for two years and have been lucky enough to participate in six sessions at Heartsong Music. Through this experience, I have seen first-hand amazing effects that the Music Together® program has on children.  I am so excited to share my love of music with others and to work with all of the beautiful families that enter through Heartsong's doors.

Meg completed her Certification Level I training in March 2014.
